Three Bowden Institution employees test positive for COVID-19
Three employees at Bowden Institution have recently tested positive for COVID-19 and are self-isolating at home, Correctional Service Canada confirms.
There are currently no reported positive cases of COVID-19 among inmates at Bowden Institution.
Correctional Service Canada (CSC) says contact tracing efforts are underway, in partnership with local public health authorities, to ensure close contacts of the infected individuals are self-isolating at home. CSC and Alberta Health Services has contacted all staff to set up COVID-19 testing appointments.
Bowden Institution has approximately 28 staff self-isolating at home as of October 30, a number CSC says may fluctuate based on contact tracing.
