(PREVIOUS STORY)

Mounties were dispatched around 6:50 p.m. on Sept. 28 to reports of a crash along Piper Drive.

A Red Deer RCMP spokesperson says officers arrived to find a silver-grey Jeep at the scene that had struck two parked trucks and a green utility box.

“The report is there was a single occupant, and that this lady was only wearing socks,” said the spokesperson.

The name of the 48-year-old woman, who was arrested and charged for impaired driving, was not released.

“Certainly if you think anyone is impaired or distracted or something, please call the police,” says Cst. Derek Turner with Red Deer RCMP. “On the other side of that coin is, please don’t drink and drive or do drugs and drive. You’re putting lots of people at-risk when you do that.”
