Red Deer down to three active COVID-19 cases

Red Deer is down to three active cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday.

It’s the fewest active cases in the city since three were reported back on July 14.

The number of recoveries in the city remains listed at 108, meaning Red Deer has seen a revised total of 111 cases of COVID-19 (down one from 112 reported Monday).

Sylvan Lake has one active case as of Tuesday, Lacombe has two while Lacombe County has three. The County of Stettler has two active cases and Ponoka County has five. Mountain View County has two and Olds has one. Drayton Valley also has one active case.

There are now 26 active cases across the Central zone, up from 22 on Monday.

Province-wide, 276 new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported on Tuesday, pushing the total to 19,211.

There are 1,900 active cases, up 117 from Monday, and 17,030 recovered cases, up 158.

There are currently 61 Albertans in hospital, 13 in ICU. There have been 281 deaths, an increase of one from Monday.

The province conducted 17,654 tests in the past 24 hours.
