Two families have been displaced from their homes in Red Deer’s Kentwood neighbourhood following a fire that started Sunday morning.

Red Deer Emergency Services Assistant Deputy Chief Matt White says crews responded just after 10:30 to 63 and 67 Kerr Close.

“The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, but it looks to have started at one of the homes and moved to the neighbouring residence,” White said. “There is extensive damage to 67 on the first and second floors, and extensive damage to the roof of 63.”
