Longtime Red Deer city manager honoured by AUMA
The former longtime city manager at The City of Red Deer received recognition during this week’s annual convention of the Alberta Urban Municipalities Association (AUMA).
Craig Curtis was presented, virtually, with a lifetime membership to AUMA for his 30-plus years of work and extraordinary contributions at the municipal level in this province.
“I’m very honoured to be selected. Certainly municipal government has been my life, whether it was in Red Deer, Owen Sound or South Africa,” he shares with rdnewsNOW. “It means a lot to me that has been recognized and honoured by my peers. In some ways, it marks the end of a long career, but now I’m in a new beginning in terms of doing some consulting and contract work.”
Earlier this year, Curtis signed on to be the interim CAO at the Village of Caroline.
