Alberta shares new health guidance for celebrating Thanksgiving
With Thanksgiving less than three weeks away, the province has released new guidance for celebrating safely with family and friends.
“This year, I think we are all very much more aware than usual about how much we have to be thankful for,” Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, said Thursday.
Hinshaw noted that new guidance to help Albertans have a safe Thanksgiving has been posted on alberta.ca.
“To summarize, it is best to keep gatherings within your established cohorts of up to 15 people outside your household,” she shared. “Smaller is safer. This is not the time for large gatherings.”
