Applications open for one-time FCSS Funding

The Red Deer & District Family & Community Support Services (FCSS) Board is now accepting funding applications to build capacity for community resource navigation.

This one-time funding opportunity is intended to support families as they reintegrate into community and schools post COVID-19 isolation, and build capacity to ensure families can easily navigate and access social supports and resources.

Up to a maximum of $80,000 in funding is available through this Grant Application Process.

Applications must align with FCSS’ mandate to provide preventive social programming that enhances the social well-being of individuals and families through promotion or intervention strategies provided at the earliest opportunity.

School boards, municipalities and non-profits in the Red Deer and District FCSS region – including the partner municipalities of The City of Red Deer, Red Deer County, Town of Bowden, Town of Penhold, Village of Delburne and Village of Elnora – are eligible to apply for funding.

Applications will be accepted until 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2020. Complete details, including information about the application process, can be found at reddeer.ca/FCSS.

Two online procurement orientation sessions will be open to all applicants and will offer more information on the requirements and process:

• September 29, 2020, 10 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.
• September 29, 2020, 2 p.m. – 3:15 p.m.
