Dr. Hinshaw to deliver COVID-19 update at 1 p.m.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw will deliver an update Friday on the province’s ongoing effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The chief medical officer of health will hold a news conference starting at 1 p.m., as opposed to the usual 3:30.

As of Sept. 17 (Thursday), Alberta is reporting 1,483 active cases of the novel coronavirus. Red Deer has eight active cases.
