Red Deer pair charged for using fake U.S. cash in southern Alberta

Police in southern Alberta say they have arrested two people from Red Deer after counterfeit U.S. currency was used in multiple small towns.

Nanton RCMP say they were made aware of the fake money being used in the community on Sept. 11.

They also received reports from Fort MacLeod and Claresholm, where the pair was arrested on Sept. 15.

Police have arrested and charged Clayton Jordan and Brooke McKlusky from Red Deer with several counts of uttering counterfeit money, illegal possession of government documents and multiple other charges including for drug possession .
