Rocky RCMP Report Sept. 4-10

This is a report released to the media from the Rocky Mountain House (RMH) RCMP giving a brief description of various crimes and call-ins, both solved and unsolved throughout the community between the dates of September 4- 10

Not all crimes reported are listed in this report.

September 4

2:20 A.M. – An RV window was vandalized while parked at a RMH business.

8:25 A.M. – Vehicle vandalized while parked at a RMH business overnight. Two males on bikes were seen on video surveillance.

1:21 P.M. – Burnt out vehicle located on a lease site on Twp Rd 39-2, Clearwater County. Under investigation.

4:36 P.M. – Police arrested an impaired driver in RMH after he was pulled over by the Town CPO’s. He refused to provide breath samples. Charges are pending.

7:56 P.M. – Police arrested a male youth from Red Deer after it was reported that he had assaulted and pointed a firearm at individuals while camping west of RMH. He also allegedly shot out windows of a vehicle. Charges have been laid.

September 5

2:41 A.M. – Multiple reports of gunshots heard on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Police attended and made a number of neighborhood inquiries but were unable to determine where they came from.

4:26 P.M. – Police arrested an adult male after an assault was reported in RMH. He was released after a JIR and is required to appear in Provincial Court at the end of the month.

6:27 P.M. – A BBQ was stolen from a residence in RMH after suspects showed up at a residence wanting to fight a resident.

September 6

10:06 A.M. – B&E to a RMH business overnight. Offices were ransacked & a HP 800 computer was stolen.

12:14 P.M. – Theft of a CHEVROLET pickup overnight in RMH. It was later found abandoned in town via ONSTAR.

8:16 P.M. – A shoplifter was reported at a RMH liquor store and an employee was threatened with a knife. A licence plate was obtained and the suspect vehicle was located by police on the O’Chiese Road. A male passenger fitting the suspect’s description was subsequently arrested. Charges are pending.

September 7

6:57 A.M. – Complaint received from an individual who advised that he had been bear-maced while camping in Clearwater County. The matter is under investigation.

7:36 A.M. – Report of a B&E into sheds overnight at the RMH Co-op.

11:33 A.M. – 2007 silver JEEP Compass reported stolen from a residence on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

1:37 P.M. – Theft of a HONDA Rubicon 650 from a residence on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

3:21 P.M. – Call of someone coming onto property on Range Road 4-5, Clearwater County and shooting the owner’s cat. Access to property gained via a nearby lease site. Under investigation.

4:21 P.M. – Bikes stolen from a residence in RMH. A red 2019 ROCKYMOUNTAIN Thunderbolt and a 2008 cream green NORCO, both valued over $2000.

8:21 P.M. – Report of an assault which occurred in Clearwater County. Police attended and arrested an individual after locating him driving down a county road. Charges are pending.

September 8

00:13 A.M. – Report from a RMH resident advising that he had seen someone in his vehicle with a flashlight. He yelled and scared them off. A window was found smashed.

September 9

8:31 A.M. – Theft of an ATV over the weekend at Ram Falls. A brown 2019 SUZUKI 750.

8:45 A.M. – B&E into a commercial site in the RMH Industrial area. A hole was cut in the fence and the culprit(s) broke into the utility shed.

9:38 A.M. – Report of vandalism to 3-4 vehicles on the O’Chiese First Nation Reserve. Fuel lines were discovered to have been cut.

4:21 P.M. – B&E reported to a church in RMH. $50.00 was stolen along with a computer monitor.

10:57 P.M. –Call of 2 males on a black ATV, shooting off a gun on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

September 10

8:53 A.M. – Report of someone in a silver FORD SUV not paying after using a RMH carwash.

9:46 A.M. – Report of a vehicle window smashed on the Sunchild First Nation Reserve.

12:27 P.M. – Report of a vehicle broken into while parked at a RMH tire shop overnight. A fuel card and documents were stolen.

4:19 P.M. – Report of a red DODGE truck towing a trailer, “blowing” past a school bus with the lights flashing on highway #11, just south of RMH.

8:11 P.M. – Report of an individual “high and delusional,” bothering people and attempting to get into their vehicles at a RMH convenience store. Police located and arrested the person, who was seeing and hearing things, at a nearby motel. Drug paraphernalia was located in her hand bag. She was released after sobering up. No charges laid.

10:58 P.M. – Report of 2 suspicious males on BMX bikes trespassing on homeowner’s property in RMH.
