The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a suspicious death that occurred on the Sunchild First Nation.
A home on the First Nation was destroyed by fire late Wednesday night. Fire investigators attended the scene and discovered human remains.
RCMP say an autopsy will be conducted next week in order to determine both the identity of the victim and the cause of death.
The investigation into the cause of the fire continues.
