Motorcyclist killed in crash near Lacombe

A collision south of Lacombe Wednesday evening claimed the life of a 40-year-old motorcycle rider.
The crash between the southbound motorcycle and a northbound pickup truck happened at about 7 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 2A and Range Road 271.
EMS responded and the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.
Traffic was rerouted for several hours while the RCMP collision analyst attended to conduct a scene examination.
The cause of this collision remains under investigation.
