A 21-year-old man will serve time behind bars for a shooting earlier this year in the Deer Park – South neighbourhood.
It was just before 6 p.m. on April 9 when Red Deer RCMP received a call of shots fired in a parking lot near Holy Family School.
Police said two men had met in the parking lot at the school with one firing at the other resulting in him suffering what were described as non-life threatening injuries. Police said the shooter then fled the scene in an SUV.
