Second degree murder charge laid after death at O’Chiese First Nation
A charge of second degree murder has been laid following an incident on the O’Chiese First Nations reserve.
Rocky Mountain House RCMP say it was just after 8 p.m. on Aug. 27 when they received a 911 call about a firearms incident that had injured a male.
The 23-year-old victim from O’Chiese was airlifted by STARS, however later died in hospital.
The subsequent investigation resulted in Alberta RCMP Major Crimes arresting 27-year-old Lyle Bearspaw, of no fixed address, for the second degree murder of Troy Beaverbones. He was arrested that same night.
