Granting A Wish

Make a Wish Foundation- silent online auction for “Leprechaun Joe”

Aug 25, 2020 | 3:02 PM

Starting Aug. 21 at 2:30 p.m. and running until Sept. 4 at 2:30 p.m., it’s the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Silent Auction for Joe Hittel.

The 85-year-old Red Deer man has committed himself for the third-straight year to the Rope for Hope event, held annually in support of central Alberta children battling a critical illness.

All money raised for Hittel’s campaign is used to help grant a child’s wish, and restore a sense of childhood back to the child and some normalcy back to the family.

Hittel will rappel down the side of Red Deer’s Stantec building in a leprechaun suit during this year’s Rope for Hope on Sept. 19.

In the online event, however, you will see amazing packages available for auction.

Each photo will have a description of what it includes, the starting bid and how much the bidding increments will be.

Please comment with your bid, and PLEASE only bid if you 100% will purchase if you win!

ALL proceeds of this silent auction will go to helping local children/tweens through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Each wish costs roughly $10,000 for the child and family and all of your money will help us reach our fourth child this year. Our goal is $40,000.

Happy bidding! Thank you & we appreciate you participating!
