Stolen car involved in crash that sent four to hospital

A serious motor vehicle collision Thursday evening put four people in hospital, according to Innisfail RCMP.

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., Mounties responded to the collision at the intersection of Township Road 364 and Highway 766, about 11 km northwest of Dickson.

They say the collision involved a pick-up truck believed to be travelling southbound, and a westbound car.

Four adults were taken to hospital, including two from each vehicle.

For a time, traffic was diverted while an attending RCMP Collision Analyst conducted their examination. The Criminal Crash Investigation Team was also deployed to assist in the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing in relation to the cause, and RCMP confirm that charges are pending.

It has been determined that the car was previously reported stolen.
