Alberta updates COVID-19 numbers for Aug. 11

Alberta announced 85 new cases on Tuesday and now has a total of 11,772 cases. Of those, 10,552 are recovered, an increase of 168 and 1,004 are active, a drop of 86.

The province completed 7,057 COVID-19 tests on Monday.

There are 62 Albertans currently in hospital due to COVID-19, 14 of which are in ICU.

There are a total of 216 deaths, an increase of three.

The number of active cases in the Central Zone sits at 99, over 150 fewer than two weeks ago, while recoveries have risen to 442. There are 11 people from the zone in hospital because of the virus, none of them are in intensive care.

In Red Deer, the number of active cases has risen to 14, up from 12 reported on Monday, while the number of recoveries listed in the city remains 53.

Rocky Mountain House: 1 active, 3 recovered

Innisfail: 2 active, 3 recovered

Lacombe: 2 active, 3 recovered

Lacombe County: 4 active, 14 recovered

Ponoka: 0 active, 7 recovered

Ponoka County: 1 active, 11 recovered

Olds: 0 active, 5 recovered

Didsbury: 1 active, 6 recovered

Mountain View County: 1 active, 7 recovered
