Pedestrian killed in hit & run collision on Highway 2A

Red Deer RCMP are investigating a fatal pedestrian hit and run collision along Highway 2A.

Police say the crash happened at about 3:40 p.m. Sunday and that the vehicle driving southbound on Highway 2A did not stop after hitting the pedestrian.

STARS Air Ambulance took the 31-year-old male victim from Red Deer to hospital in Calgary, where he later died from his injuries.

Red Deer RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance to locate the suspect vehicle and driver. The vehicle is described as Black or dark blue 2003-2006 1/4 ton GMC or Chevrolet truck with a canopy that was hauling a flat deck trailer with a blue sport bike motorcycle on it.
