Mounties respond to armed home invasion near Caroline

The search for suspects continues after Mounties from Rocky Mountain House and Sundre responded this morning to an armed home invasion near Caroline.

It was just before 10:30 a.m. when RCMP say multiple suspects entered a residence and assaulted two occupants before fleeing with stolen firearms.

Police contained the area along Township Road 360 believing the suspects were still in the area on foot.

However, RCMP now believe the suspects were able to flee in a vehicle. Unfortunately, police don’t have a description of the vehicle or it’s last known direction of travel.

RCMP continue to investigate but believe the incident may have been targeted.
