Lacombe FCSS approved for Community Initiatives Program grant
The Lacombe & District FCSS has been approved for a Community Initiatives Program (CIP) Operating Grant to assist with Senior’s Services, Volunteer Services and organizational development projects. The total grant amount is $75,000 with projects being implemented from August 1, 2020 to July 31, 2022.
“It was very exciting to receive the letter of notification from Leela Sharon Aheer, Minister of Culture, Multiculturalism and Status of Women and Ron Orr, MLA Lacombe-Ponoka”, said Jodi Baehl, Chairperson of the Lacombe & District FCSS Board of Directors. “This will certainly enhance our community supports for seniors, create new volunteer initiatives and assist staff with training opportunities.”
The CIP Program has been designed to support organizations as they take action to contribute to their communities and to create opportunities for Albertans to engage with their communities.
“We can now move forward with a number of priorities for Lacombe FCSS and our community”, said Susan MacDonald, Executive Director.
