Case for Red Deer man accused of child luring headed to resolution
A resolution appears to be in the works for a Red Deer man accused of attempting to lure multiple children for sexual purposes.
Wayne Taylor, 59, was arrested on May 29 of this year by Red Deer RCMP and the ALERT Internet Child Exploitation unit. Taylor faces six counts of luring a child, two counts of making explicit material available to a child, and two counts of sexual interference.
Police said in a release that on May 27, 2020, “Taylor engaged in electronic and in-person communication with three child victims, aged eight, nine and ten that was predatory in nature.”
Taylor’s lawyer, Jason Snider, told Red Deer provincial court on Wednesday that he and the Crown are “in the process of working towards a resolution.”
