Two charged after RCMP seize hundreds of stolen items and collectables in Red Deer search warrant

Two people are facing charges following the recovery of hundreds of items and stolen property during a search warrant in Red Deer last week.

On July 17, RCMP say a search warrant was executed by the Crime Reduction Team in Parkside Estates.

Two individuals, 37-year-old Robert Martin and 40 year-old Michael Hawman were arrested and charged for possession of stolen property. Mounties say both are known repeat offenders and were identified on PINPOINT.

Among the hundreds of stolen items recovered, police say many of them were collector items. Items recovered during the search include:

  • Noah Welch signed hockey sticks (stolen during a B&E)
  • Autographed guitar pick collection (stolen during a B&E in 2018)
  • Binders of hockey cards believed stolen
  • Twelve stolen bikes
  • Forty wrist watches
  • Forty cell phones and tablets
  • Stolen security system, jewellery, tools, keys for several buildings in Red Deer
  • Paramedic computer and uniform
  • Stolen vehicle and numerous stolen licence plates
  • Ammunition, tannerite, bear spray and airsoft pistol
  • A variety of break-and-enter tools

RCMP have contacted several of the rightful owners to reunite them with the recovered property.
