Weekly curbside recycling pick-up in Drayton Valley will resume next week.
There was some talk this week about going back to a bi-weekly schedule as town council was told that there hasn’t been an increase in the amount of recycling material tonnage since weekly pick-up began. But after considering different options at their meeting on Wednesday council elected to stick with weekly service.
The cost for weekly recycling pick-up of $3.77 per month remains the same. It would have gone down to $1.72 per month had council chosen to go with bi-weekly pick-up.
Weekly curbside recycling will resume July 22 and 23. Residents are advised to make sure blue bags are on the curb by 7 a.m. to ensure they are collected.
