Bertha armyworm infestations low in Central Alberta
Alberta Agriculture says infestations of Betha armyworms are low in all of the spots it is monitoring in the central part of the province.
Anything from zero to 300 is considered “low,” which means infestations are not likely widespread.
Between 300-900 is considered “medium” and infestations may not be widespread, but some fields may be infested.
There are currently two medium outbreaks reported in the Peace region, several south of Calgary and four either in or to the east of Edmonton.
