Red Deer man wins $100,000 lottery prize

RED DEER- Fred Denney is glad he chose to add the Extra on his Western 6/49 ticket.

“I’ve bought some tickets without it if I’m in a hurry, and I’m glad I didn’t this time.”

Denney matched the last six digits of the Extra on the May 16 draw to take home the $100,000 prize.

He picked up his winning ticket a couple of days before the draw at Zippy’s Convenience Store at 135 Leva Avenue in Red Deer.

When he checked his ticket after the draw, Denney says he was completely stunned, but excited.
