The province revised its reported death toll from the virus from 161 to 160 on Friday with officials saying a death at the Misericordia hospital in Edmonton, where an outbreak has occurred, that was previously attributed to COVID-19 was since found not to be virus-related.

There are 50 Albertans in hospital because of the novel coronavirus. Nine of them are intensive care.
