Alberta updates COVID-19 numbers for July 6

Alberta has released updated COVID-19 numbers that include results from tests completed over the past three days.

The province is reporting a total of 130 new cases since Friday. That includes 29 that were reported July 3, 52 on July 4 and another 49 on Sunday, July 5.

The number of COVID-19 recoveries in Alberta is now 7,627 while the number of active cases has risen to 607.

There are 57 Albertans in hospital because of the virus, including six who are in intensive care.

No new deaths were reported over the past three days as Alberta’s fatality count from COVID-19 remains 155.

The number of active cases in the Central Zone now sits at four. Three of them are in Red Deer.
