Brazeau County property taxes due, rebate offered if paid on time

Brazeau County is reminding property owners that the 2020 tax due date is coming up on June 30.

The County says in order to receive the 30% municipal tax rebate being offered, residential/farmland, commercial, and industrial property owners must pay their taxes in full (including any outstanding amounts from previous years) by the end of the business day on June 30.

Payments can be made through online banking, at a financial institution, by mailing a cheque, paying in person at the Brazeau County office between 8 am and 5 pm, or with a credit card over the phone.

For those who do not pay their taxes by June 30, Council has deferred tax penalties for this year until August 1, however, those residents will not be eligible for the 30% municipal tax rebate.
