Alberta reports 49 new COVID-19 cases

Alberta confirmed another 49 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday to bring the overall total to 7,579.

The results come from 7,990 tests completed over the last 24 hours.

The number of active cases in the province sits at 489, three more than Wednesday, while the number of recoveries is now 6,938.

There are 34 Albertans in hospital because of COVID-19, including six in intensive care.

An additional death from the virus has been reported bringing Alberta’s total to 152.
