Alberta reaches 150 COVID-19 deaths, active cases up 17

Alberta is reporting 37 new cases of COVID-19 today, increasing active cases by 17 to 403.

Eleven of the net increase in active cases are in Edmonton.

Another 19 people recovered since yesterday, and there was one new death bringing the province’s total to 150 fatalities.

There are 44 people in hospital, including six in intensive care.

Red Deer remains with one active case and the Central Zone has two active cases.

So far, 331,938 tests have been completed, and 297,108 individual Albertans getting tested. In the last 24 hours, 6,790 tests were done.
