Red Deer’s State of Local Emergency to lapse June 14
The City of Red Deer’s State of Local Emergency will lapse on June 14 after being in place for nearly three months.
The City’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to be coordinated by our Emergency Operations Centre in collaboration with Alberta Health and the Province of Alberta, officials say in a release.
“Thank you Red Deerians for your cooperation as we have faced the pandemic over the last several weeks and for your continued cooperation as we shift into the relaunch phase,” says Mayor Tara Veer.
“This revised local emergency status is in alignment with Provincial direction and the current stage of Red Deer’s response to the pandemic. As we move into recovery, we all bear responsibility to continue to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in Red Deer by continuing to follow the public health orders implemented by Alberta Health and The Province.”
