Two men charged in 2019 Grande Prairie homicide, one at large

Alberta RCMP are requesting the public’s assistance in locating one of two men charged with first degree murder in relation to the death of a 28-year-old man in Grande Prairie last October.

Two arrest warrants have been obtained by RCMP Major Crimes in Alberta, with one man now in custody.

In October 2019, RCMP concluded that Cody Michaloski, who was found dead in an apartment Grande Prairie apartment, was murdered.

Benjamin Pearson, 25, of Kelowna, was arrested on May 27 in Kelowna. He is charged with first-degree murder and is now awaiting his return to Alberta for a bail hearing before the Edmonton Provincial Courts.

Now, RCMP are continuing to search for his brother, Adam Pearson, 26, whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

Adam Pearson is also wanted for the first-degree murder of Michaloski.

RCMP say he should not be approached, and anyone with information is asked to contact Grande Prairie RCMP, their local police, or if they wish to remain anonymous through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit information online through P3Tips.
