Edmonton police investigating after body is found in motel

EDMONTON- Police are investigating a suspicious death case.
They say officers responding to an assault call Sunday evening discovered a body at a south-side motel.
The body was found inside one of the motel suites.
The homicide unit has since taken over the investigation.
Police say an autopsy has yet to be scheduled.
They add no further information, including the gender of the deceased, is available at this time.
