60 Albertans remain in hospital for COVID-19

The number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in Alberta remains low as of Saturday with 60 people currently in hospital, eight of whom are in intensive care.

In total, 5,377 Albertans have recovered from COVID-19.

One more Albertan has died from the novel coronavirus as of Saturday, bringing the province’s total to 126

According to the latest update from Alberta Health, 72 new cases have been reported, out of 4,594 tests over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of total active cases to 1,084.

There have been 193,098 people tested for COVID-19 in Alberta and a total of 209,317 tests performed by the lab.

Total COVID-19 cases in the Central zone now sit at 98, including 13 active cases and 85 recovered. The number of people tested in the Central zone is listed at 15,821.

In Red Deer, the number of COVID-19 cases remains 37, including two active and 35 recovered.
