‘Head shave challenge’ in support of Golden Circle seniors centre

With the downturn of the economy, having to cancel two major fundraisers this year due to the economic uncertainty, the executive director of the Golden Circle senior resource centre is going a cut above with a hair raising fundraising event.

Monica Morrison has pledged that if $10,000 is raised by Friday, June 5, she will shave her head to support the Golden Circle.

“The first week of June is Seniors Week in Alberta and she wants to do her part to help the organization continue to financially thrive during these hard times,” Golden Circle says in a release.

Pledges (min. $10) are being accepted by cheque or credit card. Tax receipts will be issued.
