St. Paul RCMP lay weapons trafficking charges
ST. PAUL- While conducting an unrelated investigation in Saddle Lake in late April, RCMP entered into an investigation related to the unsafe discharge of a firearm.
While conducting this investigation police learned of a suspect who was alleged to have been trafficking firearms in the area.
Further investigation revealed that a male suspect was purchasing firearms in a lawful manner for others who could not.
Over the course of two weeks, St. Paul RCMP executed four search warrants on residences in Saddle Lake recovering 10 firearms, a quantity of ammunition, approximately $2600 in cash and 19 grams of what is believed to be cocaine.
