Brazeau County adopts tax rate bylaw with no increase to municipal tax rates
Brazeau County Council adopted the 2020 Tax Rate Bylaw at the May 5 meeting.
There is no increase to municipal tax rates from 2019. The bylaw leaves the mill rate at the 2015 level for residential and farmland tax classes, as the rate has not been increased since that time.
The County has also made available a 30% rebate on municipal taxes for residential/farmland and commercial properties to those who pay taxes by June 30. The rebate is applied at the time of completed payment of taxes and does not change the municipal tax rate.
Those residents on the Tax Installment Payment Plan will have the rebate pro-rated on their payments.
