Innisfail Mounties charge several for impaired driving

Throughout the month of April, Innisfail RCMP laid charges in relation to five instances of impaired driving.

Cheryl Lukash, 48, of Sylvan Lake was charged with:
• Impaired operation of a conveyance; and,
• Impaired operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration equal to or exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Daniel Fenrich, 27, of Edmonton was charged with:
• Impaired operation of a conveyance; and,
• Refusing to comply with a demand (alcohol);
• Additional counts.

Cole Moffatt, 20, of Innisfail was charged with:
• Impaired operation of a conveyance;
• Impaired operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration equal to or exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

William Howell, 35, of Red Deer County was charged with:
• Impaired operation of a conveyance; and,
• Impaired operation of a conveyance with a blood alcohol concentration equal to or exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Jayden Neufeld, 28, of Red Deer was charged with:
• Impaired operation of a conveyance;
• Refusing to comply with a demand (drug);
• Additional counts.

One additional motorist faced license suspensions and vehicle seizures under provincial sanctions due to driving while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

“Innisfail RCMP recognizes the threat that drug and alcohol impaired drivers pose to members of the public,” reads a media release. “Impaired driving is the leading criminal causes of death in Canada and disrupting impaired drivers is an integral aspect of the maintenance of public safety.”
