Red Deer County day use areas remain closed

Red Deer County would like to remind the public that all County Day Use Areas are closed to the public in collaboration with the Government of Alberta’s response to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Closures include:
– Taunton Hills Day Use Area at Pine Lake
– The Joffre Bridge Day Use Area
– A Soo Wuh Um Day Use Area near Penhold

“The County is working with the best practices set by Alberta Health Services including those strongly discouraging large gatherings of people and promoting social distancing,” reads a media release. “We realize that this is a challenging time, and appreciate the patience of our residents and visitors.”
