Innisfail RCMP arrest male with warrants following foot pursuit

An Edmonton man faces several charges after being spotted in a stolen vehicle in Innisfail.

It was on April 20 when an Innisfail RCMP member on patrol in town noticed a vehicle that was recently reported stolen.

While attempting to flee from police, the vehicle drove erratically through a residential area before getting stuck in a ditch. The driver then fled on foot, RCMP took chase on foot and eventually brought him into custody.

Charges against Daniel Fenrich, 27, include taking a motor vehicle without consent, impaired operation of a conveyance, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from a peace officer, mischief, failure to comply with a release order, and alcohol and cannabis related counts.

Fenrich has been remanded into custody to appear in Red Deer provincial court May 20.
