AgSmart 2020 cancelled at Olds College

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Government of Alberta’s mass gathering restrictions, AgSmart 2020 has been cancelled.

After a successful launch in 2019, AgSmart officials say they are disappointed to delay the second edition of the event, but acknowledge the cancellation is essential for the health and safety of the community.

Plans are underway for AgSmart 2021, which will be hosted at Olds College on August 10 & 11, 2021.

“We are very disappointed to have to cancel AgSmart 2020, however we know it is in the best interest of the community,” comments Patrick Machacek, Vice President, Development & Strategy, Olds College, in a news release. “The health and well-being of our stakeholders is always our top priority, and we appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding and look forward to hosting AgSmart 2021 next summer.”

AgSmart will be launching a virtual ag tech directory this summer to continue assisting in the connection between ag tech organizations and producers. Watch AgSmartOlds.ca for updates in the coming weeks.
