Sunday bears zero new deaths from COVID-19 in Alberta

Alberta reported 247 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bumping the province’s total to 4,480.

There were also zero new deaths, leaving the death toll in Alberta at 73.

Currently, 83 people — an increase of six — are in hospital, and 20 are in ICUs, the same as yesterday.

Of all cases, 462 are suspected of being community acquired. To date, 435 cases have been confirmed at continuing care facilities, and 48 residents have died.

Another 4,407 tests were done since Saturday, pushing the total number of people tested in the province to 125,310.

Central Zone has 83 cases, the same as yesterday, and Red Deer remains at three active and 31 recovered cases.

  • 3,104 cases in the Calgary zone
  • 598 cases in the South zone
  • 479 cases in the Edmonton zone
  • 182 cases in the North zone
  • 83 cases in the Central zone
  • 34 cases in zones yet to be confirmed
