Red Deer renews state of local emergency

The City of Red Deer declared a renewed State of Local Emergency at 5:25 p.m. Monday, April 20, in response to COVID-19.

The State of Local Emergency gives The City access to additional resources, and special powers under the Emergency Management Act including personnel, from other orders of government if required.

The State of Local Emergency is in place until Monday, April 27, 2020, and must be renewed every seven days.

Residents are reminded to follow AHS guidelines, including physical distancing, to help prevent the spread of this disease. For additional guidelines, visit www.alberta.ca/covid19.
