Peter Barron resigning as Clearview Public Schools Superintendent
Peter Barron is moving on to the next chapter of his education career.
Barron has informed Clearview Public Schools he is resigning as Superintendent at the end of July to assume the same role with Wetaskiwin Regional Public Schools.
Barron joined Clearview as Superintendent in July 2014. During his tenure Clearview has embraced many initiatives that have benefited students and staff, the district says in a release, including Google Apps for Education, Chromebooks, makerspaces, literacy programs as well as the implementation of the Start Right program for Pre-K children. Clearview also adopted system-wide improvements including Hour Zero (an incident response system and PowerSchool (a new student information system).
The division says Barron is especially proud of the Collaborative Response Model, a program which teams up teachers to work together to support the most vulnerable students. These initiatives and others have contributed to a marked improvement in results in student achievement.
