Number of COVID-19 cases in Red Deer remains 32

The number of COVID-19 cases reported in Alberta on Monday rose by 105 to a total of 2,905.

The number of cases in the Central zone rose by one to 77.

In Red Deer, 32 cases are reported, including three active and 29 recovered.

Province-wide, there have now been 1,203 recoveries from COVID-19.

Four more deaths were reported on Monday, bringing Alberta’s total to 59, including one in the Central zone.

Dr. Deena Hinshaw, Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, says 3710 COVID-19 tests were done over the last 24 hours, pushing Alberta’s total past 100,000.

In terms of hospitalizations, 63 people are in hospital with 15 admitted to ICU.

Alberta COVID-19 cases (by zone) as of Monday:

  • 2,077 cases in the Calgary zone
  • 438 cases in the Edmonton zone
  • 156 cases in the South zone
  • 143 cases in the North zone
  • 77 cases in the Central zone
  • 17 cases in zones yet to be confirmed

559 cases are suspected of being community acquired.

The total deaths are: 40 in the Calgary zone, nine in the Edmonton zone, nine in the North zone, and one in the Central zone.
