LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge 2020 Alberta Summer Games Society has elected to postpone the games until the summer of 2021.
“This decision was made after careful consideration of the current state of COVID-19 in the province and the likelihood of being able to safely host the Lethbridge 2020 Alberta Summer Games,” reads a statement from the Society.
All stakeholders have been advised of the decision, which has been supported unanimously.
The Society says they understand that this decision will be disappointing for athletes, coaches, officials, parents, sponsors, supporters and volunteers.
