Regional hotline for Clearwater County businesses navigate support programs

In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic and through a joint partnership, the municipalities of Carstairs, Clearwater County, Cremona, Didsbury, Mountain View County and Sundre have launched a hotline to assist businesses in navigating through the process of provincial and federal support programs.

Each municipality is provided with their own extension that automatically forwards calls to their respective economic development officer.

“Although the federal and provincial governments are providing a wide variety of support, it may be overwhelming for a business owner to navigate their options during these challenging times,” officials say in a release. “By helping business owners access all the available financial aid programs provided by the provincial and federal governments, they will be more likely to meet their immediate operational expenses.”

The new Regional Business Support Hotline, geared particularly towards small and medium-sized operations, provides businesses the ability to speak to a live person from their community, who can provide information about the financial supports available.

Businesses requiring assistance with support programs are encouraged to call the Hotline at 403-556-3130, open Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for the duration of the pandemic response. (Town of Sundre – extension 1; Town of Carstairs – extension 2; Town of Didsbury – extension 3; Village of Cremona – extension 4; Mountain View County – extension 5; and, Clearwater County – extension 6).
