WRSD submits 3-year capital plan and closes Eldorado School

The Wildrose School Division held its Board meeting electronically on March 24.

The Board of Trustees reviewed the 2021-2024 Three Year Capital Plan and approved it for submission. The plan included two priorities – the Drayton Valley schools, and right-sizing Breton schools.

The Board says it will submit an updated plan for priority one after the regional planning study results are received and reviewed.

The Board also approved the motion to close Eldorado School effective June 30, 2020.

The new Evergreen Elementary School will be reopening in January 2021, and Evergreen staff and students will start the 2020-21 school year in the old Eldorado Building before transferring to the new school.
