Town, county respond to Stettler region’s first COVID-19 case
The Town of Stettler and County of Stettler have released a statement following the region’s first reported case of COVID-19.
The case was confirmed by Alberta Health Services on Wednesday.
“We understand that this has been a difficult time for our residents and that this news may cause concern,” reads the joint statement from Stettler mayor Sean Nolls and County reeve Larry Clarke.
“The Town and County have been working together through the Stettler Regional Emergency Management Agency and have formed the Emergency Operating Centre to monitor to situation. We want to ensure you that this collaboration will continue to provide ongoing support and information throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and that we will always take the health and safety of our residents seriously.”
