Trudeau expects public safety restrictions, guidelines to be in place for weeks
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau continued on Tuesday to urge Canadians to do their part in flattening the curve of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Stay home,” Trudeau said directly to those who have recently come back to Canada and those feeling symptoms.
“If people don’t follow the guidelines we will put much more stringent measures in place,” he said, adding the Emergency Measures Act is a last resort.
Alberta Premier Jason Kenney delivered the same message on Monday.
